This is a movie review for the Pixar film "Inside Out" which was released in 2015. It stars the voices of Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith. Pixar's twenty-first film - Inside Out - hits theaters today with a fantastic storyline and amazing animations. Director Pete Docter (Monsters Inc., Up) has returned to his roots with this humorous and heart wrenching tale about how we process emotions every day. After an 11-year hiatus from making animated features, he returned to Pixar Studios with this story about one girl's struggle to adjust to a new city while her father works abroad as an executive for a toy company. While inside a mental hospital for a stomach flu, Riley is being treated by the doctors. At that moment, her father wants to invite Riley to come visit their company headquarters in San Francisco. Inside his mind, he is happy and excited as well as stressed out because of the joyous event. In this scene, we see his emotions as he confronts his joy, sadness and anger. As we watch him make decisions and move through all of these emotions we learn about how he reacts to situations and why he acts the way he does. This movie begins with Andy being so overjoyed to call his daughter Riley. The scene, in which he is talking to the hospital staff about his new baby girl, shows how he is so happy for this event that happened into him. The staff members, before Andy can even say "Riley," are already talking to him about the baby's name and how she was conceived. He finally comes to a point where he can tell them her name and they mention that she is doing well and will be back soon. This really stresses Andy out because he is medicated when he talks to Riley on the phone and does not know how it would end up like when she goes home because of his company. As he hangs up, we get the initial glimpse of the emotions and how they work together to make Riley's personality. Anger is portrayed as a red superhero that has a muscle-bound body and a large face with eyebrows that are close together. He never smiles or frowns, just always furious. His entire body is red, aside from his eye sockets which are white with small pupils. Joy is Riley's most dominant emotion in her mind when she turns 11 years old when she has to move away from her friends in Minnesota to San Francisco when her father accepts a job position in his company where they have moved earlier in the year. She is very excited about moving to San Francisco and being around her father's new job. Joy's facial features are incredibly bright and big, just like her thoughts. She is also extremely optimistic about life in general. Joy does not think that she needs to be "normal" or fit in with others which helps Riley feel more comfortable about her moving away from her friends trouble at school. Sadness is portrayed as a teary-eyed little girl who wears a heart on the back of her head above her hairline. She has "violet" hair like Riley and wears white clothing on top of a red shirt with buttons on the left side of it (like your typical school uniform). cfa1e77820
